Recently, a new group was made on the Scanlon & Pinto, PLLC networking site for Landlords & Tenants. Felicia Pinto has been actively posting about various landlord/tenant issues in an effort to educate clients, Realtors and investors as to the rules governing the landlord-tenant relationship here in New York. We recognize that the current state of the market is making some new issues: tenants being displaced from distressed properties, the need to evict tenants from small sales, the growing need for rental properties and the proliferation of Section 8 and other government subsidized rental programs.
Some of the discussions taking place in that group are: Self-help & Unlawful Eviction in NYC, Section 8 Rental Resources, Illegally Converted Dwellings & Rent Stabilization/Control Laws, Landlord Entry into a Tenant’s Apartment and more. There are links to various government forms, FAQs and other resources as well.
